Project Description - George Bass at 4041 Magazine Street
Located on Magazine Street in New Orleans, this redevelopment project involves the complete transformation of an existing restaurant space into a new retail destination. The scope includes full interior gut demolition, expansion of the building’s first-floor footprint, and the addition of a new second story to support the new program and layout. The building shell and structure include new piling, CMU walls, a brick and metal wall panel façade, and a combination of structural steel and wood framing. The project also includes all new mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems, a new roof system, custom aluminum storefront entrances and windows, and a full fire sprinkler system throughout. Exterior improvements feature new landscaping and irrigation, as well as upgraded sidewalks and curbs to enhance the site and surrounding streetscape.
